When I’m out there campaigning, I hear tons of great suggestions: but most of them aren’t so simple to implement. Perimeter garages will take 3+ years. e-Bike enforcement requires both effort and willingness from our police department. But yesterday I heard a no-brainer: Why aren’t we helping our restaurants and businesses that aren’t on Washington…

Meeting neighbors, mailers & debates.
For the past few weeks I’ve spent most of my free time meeting neighbors, responding to mailers and attending the debates. If I haven’t met you in person by now, it’s because you were not home when I knocked on your door. I’ve already knocked on every door personally at least one time. I’ve encountered…
Another update-
Just FYI: my window signs are almost ready. I know I haven’t posted much to the campaign website. The “Hoboken Issues” postcard received a crazy amount of responses. It took me until this past Monday to respond to all of the submitted postcards. If I did not respond to you, somehow I’m not able to…
A week of R&R, and now I’m back!
My family and I took a quick (a week) trip to the Azores and now I’m back to work. The petition deadline was the day I left, and now we know there are four candidates with enough petitions to be on the ballot. Ballot positions will be drawn this coming Friday.
Hot one today, I’m out there every day.
Another day campaigning, talking to voters and learning about individual’s various issues. Most of what I hear I can talk about well enough and even have pretty reasonable answers for: a few, I need some time to think about. One thing I dislike about most of the other candidates: there answers are non-specific and most…
More Petitions: The Next Phase
I submitted today an additional 20 petitions, which means I have quite a bit more than the minimum required. While it’s still the petition gathering phase of this election, for me, with plenty enough filed already: I’m now campaigning in earnest. This means I’ll spend more time talking to each voter, asking them about their…
Bench Clearing Brawl
Today I stopped by Kurt Gardiner’s protest regarding ‘disappearing benches’. My theory about the benches still being there, just not visible: turned out to be untrue and the city has already put back one non-clear bench. We sat and sweat together with an estimated 65 different people (about half at any given time) and made…
Petitions
As of this morning, I have submitted 54 petitions to the city clerk. Nobody else has submitted any petitions yet (as of this morning). Thanks for everyone who signed. I would still like to get a bunch more, so please reach out if you’d like to sign. This is a team effort and the first step in…

And we’re underway!
I’ve started getting petitions signed. Special thanks to everyone who has signed already. While I do not need as many petitions as previous elections: I’ll be knocking on EVERY door this cycle! So expect to see me. The biggest time waster is when people aren’t home, but you can save me some effort by reaching out…
